On Sunday, NanoWrimo starts. I have participated for most of the last six years or so (taking two years off because RL just made it impossible) and I am participating once again this year. Once again I am writing fanfiction. One day I shall write an original novel, but the ideas never develop much to be NANO.

This year I am writing the sequel to my NCIS fanfic Who Knew which I wrote in March/April this year.  It was 38K at last count (still working on getting it beta-read so final count may change) which gives me hope to actually get the 50k mark this year.  It will be shippy, but hopefully enough case for those who prefer case fics.  It takes place during Mind Games and possibly Silver War. 

You will see me post alot on this journal as I write.  There will be research posts, chapter posts, posts were I ask opinions or questions about a possible plot twists. Comments would be welcome (and appreciated).

The time has come for NANO '09.  I shall be participating.  Right now I haven't decided what I shall be writing (though I'm close to a decision).  There is a poll on my ff.net page with options.  Feel free to vote.

I have a possible idea for a original story.  Now, it was inspired by trailers for a few TV shows.  The shows that inspired this are manly The Good Wife and Army Wives.  Although I only realized that AW influenced this after I thought about it.  And now that I think about even more, probably the influx of Kennedy memories and the trailer for Accidentally on Purpose probably effected it too.

In this story, there is a Senator  (Junior and relatively new to the position...say 35ish).  Possibly named Mark Stratford  (Gah, will have to change that. At least the last name.  I like the name Mark.  Stratford is a little too close to Sanford...Another thing I didn't realise till later).  Anyway, he is married to Kathleen (tentative name  *Please tell me that's not Sanford's wife...I will be very unhappy with myself if It is*).  He goes out with some friends one day, gets drunk and gets involved with another woman.  Now he regrets it, but it drastically effects his marriage.  Kathy decides to divorce him, and they actually do get divorced.  Now, the plan is that Mark ends up re-wooing Kathy after the divorce since he knows he still loves her, and she still loves him even though very hurt by the cheating.  Originally the idea was that she'd find out she's pregnant after the divorce was finalized but I don't know where they will be from or what the divorce laws there will be.  But the two of them being together for the baby is what led them to trying out a second time. That and Kathy's very Catholic mother (Its a Mama Todd Syndrome.  All my mothers seem to be Catholic for some reason)

Yes, its a romance.  I'm a romantic.  I'd could write a war novel and it would be more romance then battles. 

But the question is...is it a viable idea for a fic.  Can I write that out to be enough?  Possible Nano fic?

Trying to incoroprate cross-posting of my stuff to Dreamwidth so i don't have to post twice. So This is a test to make sure the Sokorras are talking to each other!

OK, I went and fixed my tags so the entries were not having crazy tags.  So that should look neater.  Also Flocked all original only posts even before August 07, so unless it mentions a fanfic, they are now F-O and a special filter (so comment if you want to belong to the Original fiction filter.  I also have an adult fiction filter but I don't think I've ever used it).

I've started to post all my fics to Dreadmwidth as I get them beta read.  I'm still looking for volunteers as there are alot of fic that needs beta read and I prefer not to dumb everything onto one person.  

Who Knows is currently getting beta'd and chapter 1 & 2 shall be posted on Dreamwidth shortly.  Chapters 3-7 are in a beta's waiting bin and I'm working on my pre beta check on chapters 8-11.  As soon as I get the chapters beta'd and posted on Dreamwidth, I'll post the the Tate group to let them know its finished.  And then get to work on Thinking of You, which is already outlined.  I just need to get the finer details (AKA the actual writing).  I'm not sure if its going to just cover Mind Games or go into Silver War.  I only have Mind Games outlined.  However it all depends on how long it takes to develop Kate's half the story line.  If it takes longer then Mind Games, it will cover Silver War.

I am thinking that Silver War will be in Fall For You which will be Book III.  THere are going to be many books in this story, each roughly 40K/ 10-20 chapters. 

Also, I will soon be posting 2 Fanmixes.  My Moonlight Mix, and a Kate/Tony mix, which will contain music & graphics.

I am looking for a beta for general grammar/spelling as well as fandom beta's for the following fandoms:

Mainly, this is to take the 60 odd fics I have up and make sure they are ALL beta'd and I have them on file as being beta'd. Then I shall save them all to a back-up disk and put the beta'd versions on my website. Eventually it will be an e-fiction archive, but since I'm crap at PHP right now, its just going to be HTML.

This is part of my goal that by the end of summer my WIP list will be down, my fics will all be backed-up, and my website up and functioning at all levels.

Rodney couldn't get out of the car.  They sat in front of his sister's house for a few minutes in silence.  Elizabeth had driven because he didn't have the conidence in him making it all the way there without turning back. 

Rodney nearly jumped out of his seat whens omeone knocked on his window.  He looked out to find a small girl smiling at him.  He rolled down the window.

"Mom says to come in.  Dinner's almost ready.

Rodney looked over to Elizabeth who smiled reassuringly at him.  He looked back at the girl and opened his door hearing Elizabeth open hers .

The room they were inclosed in was far from what he was used to but it was after all, a prison.    It was about twenty feet square  with a cot in one corner and a hole in the other that was used as a bathroom.    He sowre he could see the germs that resided on the floor and he certianly damned his sense of smell.  The dugons of his home were as unclean as ever, having not been toally cleansed since the Midde Ages.  It didn't help that the other occupant was one of the few people he rather not be with, the others being Voldemort nad Biten.
